It will float briefly, then sink gracefully and break down naturally over time. Simply place a loved ones ashes in a biodegradable water soluble bag that is included. Then put the bag in the bowl. The bowl attaches to the bottom of Water Scattering Urn with biodegradable glue and clips. Remove the clips before burial. The bowl has an additive that is 100% biodegradable and allows it to be buoyant in water so it can float briefly before gradually descending. To achieve Optimum float time: gently shake urn back and forth to evenly distribute the weight as it may have settled unevenly during transportation.
